My PhD thesis is on line. Where next for pedagogy? Critical agency in educational futures
Marcus’ thesis approaches education through the context of agency – asking how can we increase people capacity to respond to life? It employs a critical futures thinking approach and builds on the powerful futures method CLA: Causal Layered Analysis. The thesis suggests that we can rethink curricula and institutional practice through a deep engagement with this method and to further this offers CLP: Causal… Continue

Sometimes we look at the actions of others and find it difficult to understand what motivates them. But we are all doing the best we can with the information we currently have. We have all been taught how to see the world from the examples of those around us and by our experiences. Keeping this in mind, we can accept the choices made by others while seeking ways to
Since the dawn of the mists of time, you have had one great soul urge, and that is to reunite with the spiritual source from which you came. Along the way, you have realized that this means reaching out in spiritual service to mankind. Along the way, you have sensed that this giving of spiritual service is the very action which leads you al
When Dissertation Troubles Surrounded Me:
This is an appreciative letter to thank the people who provided pin-point and professional dissertation help at the time when I was totally disappointed and had braced myself to meet the disaster regarding my PhD degree. It was the worst time of my life when I even thought of my dissertation disapproval.
I was busy working and handling my social life. You can say that I was hanging in bala… Continue

back when I worked as a TV Videojournalist I was quite often assigned for weeks on end to cover as a poop news viedeographer and videojournalist various presidential candidates. My last campaign was the first Bill Clinton one. As one who had met Bill a few years earlier he picked me out as one to drink coffee and talk with among a few others as we flew or drove through the long lonely nights. We'd off and on stop at Walmarts to replenish our underwear and cheap clothes. Who had time to do laundr… Continue

Imagine yourself sitting in a beautiful park surrounded by 100 Dalmatians. Each one of these dogs is trained to serve you, to honor you, to listen to your every command. Whenever you have a thought these 100 Dalmatians responds to it instantly. Obeying your every word, action, thought. Doing this 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year after year. The Dalmatians honor you as a god, as a creator. Wanting only to give all that you think you want. This little parable explains QUANTUM CONSCIOUSNESS, in… Continue

I waited to add a new post for my meditation series because, well, something has to happen to have something to write about. Not that anything has "Happened." No white lights. No out of body experiences. No Voice, brushing wings of angels, astral visions, or other tingly events.
What has happened is more comfort, less rigidity. I'm finding I'm relaxing more into meditation, finding it a refuge, a restorative time. And less rigidity because I'm more willing to let the type of me… Continue
Wow, some blogger I am! My blogging style seems to be 'bluster and fizzle.' I have a tendency to start out with a bang and then lose interest somewhat. Well, in truth I have been kind of busy lately. I've got a new band, which means more time away from the computer playing music, as well as more time profitably (hopefully) spent on the computer doing things like making business cards and brochures. I haven't been doing as much of my own solo ambient electronic flute music lately, but I'm excited… Continue
Okay, here are my 'before' pictures-- taken within the last 7 days. It will be interesting to see how different (or not!) I look after the juice fast is completed.
This is the third day of my juice fast, and I'm feelin' real good; starting to feel the glow, and thankfully, no detox discomfort at all. I have been pretty easy on myself so far, allowing myself to have more fruit juice and less vegetable juice; that's all going to slowly change as I get deeper into the fast.
Here's what I had to drink yesterday and the day before:
12/29/07: pineapple/greens juice: 22 oz. carrot/yam w/cinnamon juice: 12 oz. agave limeade: 30 oz.
It's 9:25 pm and I've had 102 ounces of liquid today, most of it fresh juice made in my juicer! What wasn't fresh included limeade made with a little bit of agave nectar, and a kombucha drink from the store. I feel great! What I'm having right now is the most gorgeous shade of pink, but it's not a very 'pretty' taste: it's cabbage/potato/beet juice made with a clove of garlic. I will say this: it tastes better than I had thought it would! Never mind... it's worth it. It's not all torture and
I don't have any grand illusions or glorious ideas to offer; there are no books in me, waiting to burst forth to transform things. (Though there's an abundance of music inside of me, always creating itself and ready to burst forth, and for that I'm extremely thankful.) I don't know a lot about the natu
