Only love is real.

Mary--I have a book on some Irish family history written by a gent named O'Grady. Half the book is the O'Grady side and half the book is the O'Leary family. Embellished for a good read, but interesting none the less.

I've been to a number of places, but never California. southern California doesn't have much appeal for me, but northern California seems so much more attractive -- in terms of scenery, of course, but whenever I read about people from the northern part of the state, they strike me as being more independent kinds of people, more in touch with their environment.

I live in Ohio now, where I grew up, but I also lived in Texas for 20 years. They were very nice people, very friendly, though it never felt like home. I think that in order to feel connected to the world, you have to feel connected with a particular place. I guess that's why ancient civilizations always thought their homelands were the navel, the center of the world. :)

PS to the just posted previous note:
Your posted photo could be lifted right in to a local Irish location and you would appear completely typically Irish.

Mary, as you wrote: "the green hills, clover, and brown stones of Ireland in my blood I am sure of it! My favorite style home is thatched roof country home with diamond paned windows and milk stained paint on the house and a red door. " Memory is a strange function not truly understood by our sciences who can demonstrate things that happen IN memory, and areas of the brain that hold specific types of memory, but not the function itself. You appear to be describing something coming from some level of memory, whether cellular, genetic, or past life, or some combination, hardly matters. As you say, it is in your blood. I also have several such life arenas that are also deeply in my psyche, complete with images as specific as yours. At this time in our development as humans, many of us seem to be drawing upon and melding patterns from particularly important times in human history, both personal patterns and larger collective patterns. Much of my travel was deeply involved with such matters. I hope you find a way to get there too. It was a hard life in those homes which appear so appealing from our American point of view, sometimes even cruel, but also sometimes very satisfying.

Hello Mary, yes I wish I could go back there too. All the years I traveled, I was always caring for and teaching the groups that I was responsible for, and therefore my focus was always on them. So, oh, how I wish I could get back there so that I could be fully present with the land & people there myself.

Hello from Northern California, I mean "far north" 1 1/2 hours south of the Oregon border and 3 hours east of the Pacific ocean.
