About Me:
I am a strategic consultant in the natural products industry. Keenly interested in solutions to reconnecting people to community, the earth, what sustains them, spirituality. Favorite Books:
No one favorite. I read many books on spirituality, social and cultural trends, poetry, ecology and sustainability, community living.
Favorite Movies:
Usually anything that is not a blockbuster. I used to work in the movie industry, so one could say I enjoy "arts" movies. Any movie that has depth and provokes thought.
Favorite TV Shows:
PBS and even then very specific shows. Discovery Channel and other documentary channels. I rarely watch TV.
What do you do to make a living?
Strategic consultant in the natural products industry. I provide ideas and strategic direction to companies that want to introduce new products to the US market.
What kind of hobbies do you have?
Walking, reading, writing poetry, beading, sewing, gardening, cooking.
In a world where you were pursuing your deepest, most heartfelt callings, what would you be doing?
Helping people to experience love and inspiring them to participate fully in the vast experience life and in service of any kind to others.
What is the most important thing you have learned in your life?
That we are all One and that love freely offered to anyone is always the best way to connect at any level.
Describe a belief that you previously held and then subsequently changed. What caused you to change your mind?
That material success and reaching the top of the corporate ladder was an important way to prove my self-worth. I felt empty and bored and reality that a life based so much on the values associated with that could never engender growth in me. I set out to find out what makes me passionate and to live more in alignment with that vision and those values. I am still doing this.
Who do you admire most in the world (past and/or present) and why?
Nelson Mandela. I was born in apartheid South Africa and feel at a very deep level the miracle of his forgiveness and compassion ofter so much senseless personal suffering.
At this turbulent moment in history, what do you think is the most important thing a person can do to help humankind (and the rest of the planet) survive the many dangers that confront us?
Act with respect and wisdom and love for all beings and the earth. Find work that helps to bring that consciousness into the hearts and minds and actions of governments, corporations and fellow human beings.
What are your answers to the big questions: Who are we? Where are we from? Why are we here? Where are we headed?
We are all part of the One, the Source from which we came and to which we return. We are here to experience untouched aspects of ourselves and to learn from the experience. We are not really headed anywhere because we have the perception of existing in time, yet we exist in infinity.
Why did you decide to join this community?
I know that there are more and more people who share my values and would like to share thoughts, ideas, visions with them and hopefully contribute in some way to making the world a kinder, better place.

Re your comment about my Oregon coast photo:
Hi Glynnis, yes, just happened on a magical moment there--I imagine there are many such moments, but living in the desert, as I do, the energy of ocean is especially precious for me. Would be delighted to be your friend. --blessings,

Hello, David. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a message from you. Thank you. It has been quite some time since I actively participated in an online communnity and I look forward to chatting and sharing with likeminded people. Sedona, I have heard, is very beautiful. It must be a pleasure to do photography there, playing with the earth colors and the light. Anyway, lovely to meet you and I, too, look forward to getting to know you.

Hello Glynnis. Welcome to our experiment in online community. I thought your description of why Nelson Mandala has been such an inspiration to you was touching. It seems that those who affect us the most deeply have touched us in some personal way. Anyway, glad to see you here. I look forward to getting to know you.
