Identities, huh? Ok, I'm a female, old enough to know better, two grown children, no grandkids, darnit, and a husband (second) of 36 years who works in computers at a major university. We live in the Ozarks, outside this university town on five acres in a big three-story home we just built ourselves...(don't do this)...and we love it here. All we can see from our decks is the woods, and sky...We often say we live in paradise, and mean it!
I'll date myself here...anyone ever hear of Shawn Phillips? A four-octave voice, he could hold a note for about two minutes, and could write like an angel/devil...stories in song about all the wonders of life that really made you think and feel it all.. He's now in So. Africa and big on the Continent...I miss him...Also love beautiful voices such as Josh Groban, Il Divo, and so on...And good, inspired so-called "New Age" music. Anything not too loud, too vulgar, or too negative...
Favorite Books:
All of 'em! I'm a real Bookaholic. But usually read non-fiction, self-improvement, history, physics, or metaphysics. I love Abraham-Hicks, a little book called "Merlin's Message" by Marelin, Neale D. Walsch's world view and books, the Seth books, Laurence Gardner, and all the mysteries of history, and all of David Hawkins' work...(see my work description below)...
And if there were only one book I could take away to solitary confinement for the rest of my life, it would be Glenda Green's "Love Without End"...don't miss this one...and don't let the title put you off...it's amazing...And I just found a new one to go with LWE...called "Oneness" by a woman named Rasha...I swear, reading this is like eating really good dark chocolate! It says everything I've been going thru, and everything I would write if I could, and is pretty much the best thing I've ever read...all the reviews of it on Amazon are five stars...pretty rare...and I'd add another star or two if I could! Don't miss this one.
And finally, a little Gem I've found called "Handbook for the New Paradigm"...from www.nomorehoaxes.com It's instructions for the "Ground Crew"...those of us who are here to help this little planet make it thru the next few years...you know who you are...and if this rings a bell, check out another site: www.projectcamelot.org. Two very, very brave people doing a necessary service for us all...
Favorite Movies:
So many...Besides the Wizard of Oz? And the Lord of the Rings? What the Bleep? What Dreams May Come? You get the drift...things that make you think outside the box, and maybe shed a tear or two...I love good writing and acting and a story that makes sense to me...and has a lesson in it. For years I made craft jewelry, and sitting in the woods alone at night, I would watch movies and do my work. I taped many movies to watch, and now have a HUGE collection of VCR movies and other misc. shows...which I am now trying to duplicate on DVD (for some reason), so I can then donate the VCRs to a local elder home for their entertainment.
And now, a favorite person/teacher of mine, young David Wilcock is in L.A. working on a new movie about the scientific basis for all this new age stuff, with an amazing scriptwriter...the lady who wrote the "Touched By An Angel" series...If it is anything like his other work, it is going to be awesome! Check him out...www.divinecosmos.com
Favorite TV Shows:
Well, I could say something uplifting like the shows on Discovery or Natl. Geographic, which I do love, but heck, I also don't like to miss Burn Notice, Lost, and Battlestar Gallactica! Aside from the blood and gore, I enjoy seeing how the writers weave all the agendas together into a whole story...and somehow make it work. And Boston Legal is a work of genius, where he brings out and explores serious social problems and juxtaposes that with the absolute lunacy of a legal office populated by the likes of William Shatner and Candace Bergen, and somehow wakes us up while making us laugh... And back in the 90s, I fell in love with a remarkable scifi show, "Babylon 5", written by a remarkable man, J. Michael Straczynski...I met him once and he told about how he got the entire five-year story arc in a flash in the shower one morning...and I believe it...watching that show packed with brilliant writing and acting and storyline, was like trying to play 3D chess..things from the first year arc didn't pan out until the fifth year...it was amazing, and it's what TV should be...and he was one of the most present and enlightened people I've met in a long time...And lastly, I don't do the "reality" shows...boring....
What do you do to make a living?
Good question! I put myself thru college in the 80s and got a degree as a counseling minister (non-denominational) but haven't used that much...I was already doing a lot of counseling anyway, and got the degree to cover myself. I use astrology as a modality, and have had a good referral clientele for over 30 years. I've worked in natural foods, herbs, healing, and you-name-it. I also taught Spiritual Science or metaphysical classes and the Karin Kaballah many years ago. Now, I'm doing lectures on the upcoming 2012 shift...and what it is and is not...to help people lose fear and become empowered to get through it...
I'm also currently helping people heal almost 200 serious illnesses with Xocai, the Healthy Chocolate...really! This is a line of six absolutely scrumptious dark chocolate products that are raw, cold-pressed, with no alkali, no refined sugar or dairy, no fat or waxes...and it's FOOD, not candy! It's the highest anti-oxidant food on the planet, and it's sweetened with Acai berries, the second highest anitoxidant food, and people just love it, and then they love the way they feel after they get to eat all they want, all day, guilt-free! When the body gets all the antioxiants it needs, it heals almost anything...
Imagine a business where you can offer people fun, health, prosperity, and chocolate...what could be be better or easier???
What kind of hobbies do you have?
Mostly gardening...landscaping my huge five acres, and a four-bed deep bed organic garden out back. I grow (and cook) most of our foods). I also am enjoying decorating my new home, and getting ready to start a new enterprise...clothing and craft items (pillows, etc) made from recycled men's silk ties! I've been preparing and designing these for several years and it's just something creative to enjoy...But my greatest enjoyment comes from my rescued pets...my three "furry purry" kitty babies. I'm such a sucker for cats! And now I find someone has bred a cat that looks like a little tiger! I'm in love!
In a world where you were pursuing your deepest, most heartfelt callings, what would you be doing?
Close to what I'm doing...only on a larger scale...I'm one of those crazy people who doesn't mind going up in front of a big audience and making a fool of myself! I love teaching and watching the Light go on in people's eyes. ..to help empower millions of people set their hearts free and create an enlightened planetary civilization.
I host a small, private group that meets at my place to do the amazing MerKaBa meditations, taught by Drunvalo, from his two wonderful books, "The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life". If you want to know how to build your very own fourth-dimensional spaceship, this is it...sounds crazy, but it works...and we may all need one in the years to come...
What is the most important thing you have learned in your life?
Just got it the other day...really. And that is "no resistance". Period.
It's always just as it is...total acceptance of our creation...that's what Jesus showed in his life and death and what we've badly misunderstood, and what complicates all our lives...our agendas that go against the flow of What Is. To practice the Law of Acceptance, and to stay in that place outside duality where there is only One of us...always. And it's all ok...
Describe a belief that you previously held and then subsequently changed. What caused you to change your mind?
Just recently I was in a seminar and heard myself say I wanted to be "the best teacher/trainer I could be", when a friend spoke up and said that she wanted to "help people give their hearts wings"...and I got it...the difference between my personally-centered view, (no matter how well-intentioned), and her view of complete loving service to the Other. Obvious, sure - huge shift, you bet! Sometimes it just takes a minute, after a lifetime of "searching", to just find and BE. "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care..."
Who do you admire most in the world (past and/or present) and why?
Oprah Winfrey. Because she's come so far, done it with style and grace, against all odds, and now is wise enough to use her power/money for good. Nobody does it better!
And one of my mentor/trainers, LaRue Eppler, founder of Soul Talk, who has the most open heart I have ever experienced...what an example! Her presence heals...
At this turbulent moment in history, what do you think is the most important thing a person can do to help humankind (and the rest of the planet) survive the many dangers that confront us?
I study physics because it has taught me that there is really only one Field of Consicousness, one Reality, and that anything that any of us do on the Web of Life will affect all of us. So when I read in David Hawkins books that just by being happy, raising my own vibrations, integrity, and love, I could add my little individual drop to the big bucket of Humanity and help it all rise, I was content. I create my reality, literally. There's nothing and no-one to save, and lots to en-joy!
What are your answers to the big questions: Who are we? Where are we from? Why are we here? Where are we headed?
My husband likes to say that we are all just "information gathering pods" sent to gather and then download our experiences into the One Soul, the One Mind, the One God, if you will...And the Course in Miracles says that it's all our illusion that there is anything to do at all...all we need to do is wake up from our dream of mortality...but we seem to be having much too good of a time in our self-created world to do that anytime soon!
Just recently, I got it that every day, when we wake up, we can choose to see and empower the positive, heart-centered world we want to live in, or we can also choose to see and resist the world that is seemingly falling apart all around us...and it will put us either in the third or the fourth dimension, which is how we all make the widely discussed "Shift of the Ages"...each one, in his/her own heart, by his/her own decisions, on a daily basis... Simple, huh?
Where are we headed? Wherever we intend...literally. As I understand it, the Universe always answers "Yes" to any of our questions...
Why did you decide to join this community?
I've enjoyed David's time-and-effort-saving newsletters for years, and I send them around to all my email friends...also encouraging them to join...I'm making this site my home page, and I feel I know David and his family and all the people like him and me who are also on the same mental/spiritual page...now we can be there in cyberspace, too! The more we link together, the better it gets...

Lia, have you seen here in nhne Michelle Cook's open discussion on the "Mayan Code" by Barbara Hand Clow? Search on any keyword from that sentence to find it, as I'm not sure the following link will work for you, since it's my Search results...

Thanks for your note, Lia :) I wish I could hear your talk on 2012. I've known about that for years, and there has been a bit of media buzz about it lately. You didn't mention "Soul Talk", tho, am still curious about it. Best - Vic
Alright, I love your writing style, your choice of musicians, your profile answers and your brand new website. I think it will be a big hit when its finished!
Hi Lia Marie, yes, as Donna says, I too "resonate with your thoughts and words." Sounds like you are enthusiastically and very much out there contributing. Agree too with your appreciation of David Hawkins work, I live close enough to Sedona, where they live, to have popped in for his presentations every now and then, and he had been on my Journeying list for many years. I think you would also appreciate Eckhart Tolle's work; perhaps first getting an audio recording (because his superb sense of humor is not as much present in the written works--and his physical appearance is a bit eccentric and so sometimes puts people off before giving him a chance--but comes through very richly when he is speaking) and one of the best is the one titled the "Flowering of Human Consciousness." --Carol
hi - thanks for the invite and the welcome - definitely resonate with your thoughts and words...am looking forward to watching this ning thing evolve...donna
