Hometown:

Relationship Status:

About Me:
My name is a combination of three words: Prana means vitality, pronounced praana. "A" is pronounced like the "a" in father. Krsna means the devotional nucleus of the universe. "R" is like a vowel and a bit like the Irish say it. And Ananda means joy or perpetual happiness.
So I am he who gets his joy and inspiration from the devotional nucleus of the universe.
I am originally from USA. I left there in 1970 and haven't been back since.
I lived in India and Southeast Asia for 23 years. I went to Europe in 1993. I lived in Italy for 6 years and travelled to Poland, Holland, Germany, Scandinavia, Switzerland and New Zealand. Now I am living in Australia.
I have been teaching meditation since December 1971. In Southeast Asia people have greater difficulties with physical disease and natural calamities so I was involved in doing many types of physical service as well as holding workshops and seminars on meditation.
I was also involved in projects that were aimed at raising social consciousness and thinking about spirituality as a base for social change.
However in Europe I was more involved in doing workshops and seminars to help people resolve their emotional difficulties, difficult experiences and personal issues.
I am doing the same type of workshops and seminars around the world.

What kind of hobbies do you have?
Traveling, meeting people on the road, good company, dancing, eating together, linking people and ideas to other people and ideas.
In a world where you were pursuing your deepest, most heartfelt callings, what would you be doing?
I would be doing what I do now.
What is the most important thing you have learned in your life?
There is in every living being a thirst for limitlessness. It can be quenched and it can be given to others.
Describe a belief that you previously held and then subsequently changed. What caused you to change your mind?
I was raised a Catholic. I didn't change my mind. I just expanded it.
Who do you admire most in the world (past and/or present) and why?
People who have struggled with difficult issues, unfinished business, have made mistakes along the way and are still standing.
At this turbulent moment in history, what do you think is the most important thing a person can do to help humankind (and the rest of the planet) survive the many dangers that confront us?
Worship the Divinity expressed within everyone and everything in this universe with all the love and inclusion of my heart and with the Divine charms of my mind. Create one universal family.
What are your answers to the big questions: Who are we? Where are we from? Why are we here? Where are we headed?
We are thoughts within the mind of the Divine. We came from the Divine Source and We are on our way home. Meantime let's be family and come in contact with all the resources of this universe as a Divine Family.

Hello Pranakrsnananda. You live a beautiful part of the world. My home is Adelaide and as you know even drier that usual after our unseasonal 15-day heatwave (average 38 degrees) around Easter. We've had some rain here since, but still very dry. I'm just back from a long weekend at Robe. The Limestone Coast is the wettest region of South Australia with many coastal wetlands, including The Coorong that many fear is drying up. Normally it is curdled with migratory waterbirds, but this year almost none. Songbirds and insects also. Even though the landscape is still very lovely, I was reminded of that term from Lord of the Rings about "a wrongness had fallen on the land".
