About Me:
I've was lucky enough to find NHNE way back in 1994. Back then I was delighted to find a very personal, human connection on the web with others of like mind. It meant so much. There are so many sites out there now, but this is the one I always come home to. I live in western Maine with my two dogs and four cats and work as a writer and caregiver for special needs children.
Favorite Music:
Eric Bibb, Medwyn Goodall, Fleetwood Mac, Moody Blues, Kansas, good meditation music
Favorite Books:
Carolyn Myss books, especially Sacred Contracts, Teachings of Don Juan by Carlos Castenada, Eckart Tolle, The Power of Now, so many others . .
Favorite Movies:
Planet of the Apes (the first one with Charleton Heston), The Neverending Story, The Sound of Music
Favorite TV Shows:
History Channel shows, Nova, Frontline, The 4400, Heroes, reruns of Star Trek Enterprise
What do you do to make a living?
see "about me."
What kind of hobbies do you have?
puttering around my yard, swimming, kayaking, reading, web-surfing
In a world where you were pursuing your deepest, most heartfelt callings, what would you be doing?
I would be writing full time about something very meaningful to me and I would be making a living at it.
What is the most important thing you have learned in your life?
That life is a process of overcoming resistance.
Describe a belief that you previously held and then subsequently changed. What caused you to change your mind?
That to surrender was to give up. After one bad choice too many, I finally surrendered and realized that surrendering takes great strength.
Who do you admire most in the world (past and/or present) and why?
Bill W. of AA. He brought into being 12 simple steps that have changed the lives of so many suffering people on the planet and championed the importance of anonymous service for those who have had a spiritual awakening.
At this turbulent moment in history, what do you think is the most important thing a person can do to help humankind (and the rest of the planet) survive the many dangers that confront us?
Be guided at all times not by the world of form but by the formless world of spirit. Be fearless! In the words of Katherine Mansfieldh, "Risk! Risk everything! . . . Do the hardest thing on Earth for you. Act for yourself. Face the Truth."
What are your answers to the big questions: Who are we? Where are we from? Why are we here? Where are we headed?
We are sentient biological beings evolved from the cosmic dust of comets who are here on this blue jewel to explore our consciousness in physical form. We are headed toward the end of time and space as we know it.
Why did you decide to join this community?
Everyone needs a place to call home.

Sorry to take 4 months to answer! You asked about joining the EFT group. in the middle of the top of the page, above the photo thumbnails of other members is a plus sign and the words, "+ Join EFT" group or something like that. Since i created the group, I don't see exactly what it says. All the groups here have the same 'join' plus sign thingie.

Hi Gail! Yes, nice to have you back. And to see a photo of your smiling face after all these years, too!
